VI. B. 2. Lythe L'Green's Agenda

"You are one of the few chosen. Seek your fortune in Cholgar's Bath House..."

The Council's lodge was a poorly held secret in Wehnimer's Landing operating out of Cholgar's Bath house. The local mystic often whispered it to people through cryptic hints, one of which was to kneel and pull a certain chain. Knowing this several sit ins before the entryway to the lodge were held to block people from entering the deeper levels, but officials or fatigue would eventually open the path again. Conflict among the populace was spreading.

"If your soul has a dark, dark stain and from evil you would refrain, go to the place, of your secret disgrace, and kneel when you pull the chain!"

Lythe L'Green was a powerful mage who had known the tempations of the Council of Light and had pulled himself away from it. He joined the voices of the opposition to its demonic power. One late night after much planning and attempts to remove the taint of the Lodge through other means. Himself, FxG and Lady Wisraith entered the sanctum of the Council of Light itself. They were able to infiltrate the Councils inner halls and hoped to end the Organizations spreading influence by eliminating its leadership.

They managed to defeat The Grand Taskmaster, The Master of Services, The Master of Gifts, The Grand Inquisitor and even the Grand Poobah himself! Thinking they had vanquished the main figures within the Organization and thus stopped the corruption in their town. Alas, the Unlife infused all of the "Dark Masters" again with some form of life then further added protections to their sanctum so that its leaders would be better protected from future attacks.

After the excursion into the Lodge and the senselessness of it in hindsight, they shifted course and placed their hope in educating those who were lost or mislead with what new knowledge they had gained from the event, but Lythe would have his own ideas.

Defying Wisraiths wishes and pleadings, Lythe unleashed his powers against the followers of the Council of Light themselves, killing and murdering those known to associate with the lodge. These battles went on between himself and Council members for some time. Wisraith and Maruko repeatedly tried to speak to Lythe, but he ignored their counsul. One such night he killed a young maiden and attempted to kill the maidens brother, Yuri. The surprising fact was that Yuri had been close friends with both Wisraith and Lythe, but Lythe was either blind with hate or he would not be stopped in his pursuit to stop this evil. Yuri was forced to slay Lythe in order to stop him.

Lythe was returned to life and began seething in anger for several days when he attacked Yuri again, forced to defend himself Yuri defeated Lythe again. After this a Council of Lords forced a cease fire. Lythe seemed to begrudingly accept. A bit of calm was restored briefly and hostilities simmered. New governance in the city was put into place along with stronger laws against murder. A time of peace came over Wehnimer's Landing and it appeared that the "War" would be averted.
