VII. The Founding of Wehnimer's Landing

Wehnimer's Landing had grown out of its frontier trading post bounderies and when Rone Wehnimer established a Wayside Inn on the road from the Darkstone bay to the heart of the human empire. It became a popular trading post and many new immigrants began migrating to its hospitable land. Thus it prospered and permanent dwellings and fortifications were being built.

This also created more targets to be coerced to joining the Lodge, a large concern to the crusaders battling its influence. Many more people were flooding the bustling city and quickly succumbing to the temptations that the Council of Light dangled before them; power. The organization had created a tremendous foothold in the region.

It was because of this that the close-knit group of friends who opposed the organization established it's own group for the purposes of preventing the furtherance of the goals of the Unlife, education of others in the promotion of Truth and organizing those devoted to such goals for their mutual assistance and camaraderie. Wisraith Winterwind, Riverwind Entreri, Lythe L'Green, Aleric d'Goth, Anika Shanna, Maruko Ashimine, Neander Ofolde, Strom O'Berin, Siegfried dieMiesterToten, Swifthawk, Guided Lyonsbane, Lord Talon Elessidil, Tourock Zephher, Twie Montecristo, Wacha McCollett, and Waldo2 Ptolemy petitioned the local government of Wehnimer's Landing and were granted permanent residence in what would be called the House of the Rising Phoenix. The House would be the first recognized Cooperative House of Elanthia and would be built shortly thereafter as an everlasting sign to the Unlife that it would always have those who would stand against it.

By request of the local government the House of the Rising Phoenix created a set of Bylaws that would help to retain the Houses purpose and establish guidelines that would be followed by its members and recognized by the local government. Although this was seen as a great sign by the crusaders who opposed the Unlife, it was far from the end of the local conflict and many more tragic events would come to pass..
