The Frontier Frolicks Faire will be held on Restday, the 24th day of Phoenatos, 5114 beginning at 11:00 A.M. elven standard time and lasting until about 3:00 in the afternoon.

At the time of the Early House Lore release I had done a lot of pre-work on the Phoenix in History sections. I had found some grammar errors, historical facts were vague, and some of the information was occasionally duplicated or referenced in a different way to say the same thing elsewhere. I've removed a lot of the redundancy, but more importantly added new information we've uncovered over the years.

A pair of sections were removed as they got absorbed into others and several sections have been renamed and rewritten to properly reflect the flow of history. It is an honest and open look illustrating our House and official historical anchors that shine a light on what we fight against, how it's been represented in lore, and how we've been involved against it. I hope you all enjoy!

I had been looking to incorporate a more live communication option in the form of a shoutbox for a while and thanks to Lady Seomanthe she suggested one that fits perfectly. It's on our right navigation and doesn't require any special ID. It's my hope that we can leave brief messages for one another that you are around, something might be happening, or you'll be hunting in Darkstone for the next 2 hours and maybe folks can come join you.

In order to use it click on Guest and type your name then click on Message to input your message. You can either hit enter or shout afterwards and it'll post. The date/time formatting is day/month/year then time so you can see how old a message is.

I'm pleased to announce some new additions to the Great library that shed light on the founders and early formation of the House. These entries mainly focus on the time period from 1990-1993 through first hand accounts or Kelfour's Edition articles. While a great deal of the lore content is no longer supported in game the players who took part in the era remain a big part of history and sometimes myth of the Gemstone IV community. If ever a time has come that an event was taking place in Elanthia that was our calling. It is now. The Shadow rises; its claw is seen in the sky gripping the stars of our world. The Lords of Liabo, our benefactors, are squelched or silent. The temples of all the Arkati, Lornon and Liabo alike, are defiled. A demonic force looks to ascend to the very Heavens!

This story is a long one with much deception. It started with Grishom stone and the nature of his powers with his shifting eyes. It was a long time before it came to light that blood magic was at work and that an ancient demon born of the Ur-Daemon and Drake wars would seek to become greater than them all. While the application of blood magic may not be inherently evil, it is of exceptionally dangerous intent and often is among the dealings of demons and their ilk. To risk such use can create abominations of all sorts or the risk to ones very soul because the cost is so great.

Mayor Walkar is a good man, or was. His fate is sealed in a way, but will he be redeemed or damned? Tricked and deceived by Elithian Cross he donned the plate mail he wears to save his life, but to survive trees that drip blood apples were grown. Our very own Clunk chopped one down knowing the darkness in its heart, corrupting our lands. Now Shadowguard appears, a Witch returns in Talador, and Lich Landings darkness looked to spread over us all in the guise of protecting us from Althedus. Now his daughter returns, her soul encased in a construct of urnon metal.

The most powerful demons we’ve ever seen are summoned in mass. Multi-eyed Oculoths, Voidlings, Constructs, and Vathor demons are the Ordainers of our destruction. The twisted and trapped souls of those lost are a feast for our enemies. The Shadow, Althedeus, may be the manifestation of our worst fears, the true face of ultimate evil if he’s to attain this indestructible body made of Urnon because that is his first goal. He then seeks to warp our reality and meld it with his distorted vision of our world. The veil is being poked and prodded to find its gaps, its walls are being tested, and its defenses battered by warping our reality with fear and paranoia. This power wants to enter our reality fully and enslave us all.

This is the essence of what we fight against and we must defend the entire world against this threat. It is why our House was formed and exists to this day. Elanthia and all of us will not survive if we do not unite. Stand for the righteous and fight for those who cannot do so for themselves. We must bring the truth to light so others will see through the mask of deception and shadow!

We must burn so hot that our flames ignore the very fabric of our dimension to illuminate the faces of demons pressed against it. All the souls of Elanthia hang in the balance.
