The House of the Rising Phoenix is dedicated to combating the forces of the Unlife in Elanthia, standing steadfast against the agents of Chaos, releasing the tortured spirits of the Undead from their eternal torment, and dedicating ourselves to the protectection of Elanthia and its citizenry. We strive to maintain honor within the lands, leading by good example. Keeping the records of time and knowledge, we share our libraries of lore and history for the further edification of all who seek knowledge.

That Solstice time of year is fast approaching, along with the annual deadline for submitting a Solstice Tree ornament design to represent our House Phoenix.

DEADLINE: We must submit our final design by NO LATER THAN November 10th!

Every House Phoenix member is invited and encouraged to submit an ornament design idea, and should attend our regularly scheduled house meeting on November 5, 2013 at 10:00 P.M. EST to have their idea considered.

The ornaments should follow normal ALTER rules, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners amongst the Houses will earn prizes for themselves plus IP for their house, as well as the honor of the first place winning house being the ornament coordinator for next year's contest.

While we have two (2) finalists I do believe that this experience always is helpful and energizing to the House through the process itself and the nomination-esque campaign portions. Our plan has been to hold an Officer Panel with both candidates to answer questions, discuss expectations, review the CHE/Officers handbook and then proceed to the next step in our process.

House Officers are elected by vote, if there is competition for the role. Shirkon, as chairman, would be the deciding factor if we were to proceed with an election or he may choose to assign the position depending on the amount of candidates we receive.

Many have said that CoL is dead. It's power frozen in ICE. I, and my brethren, have long toiled in the knowledge that isn't true! I challenge you after reading these accounts, which are numerous and spanning many years to continue to refute such things that are proven false time and again. This power would like you to believe itself dead so that it's deception is that much more effective.

It was no easy task putting together the research required for the section I'm releasing today on the House Phoenix website. It primarily started as a log I came across at Juspera's about sham Mayor election in 2002. When I had finally managed to piece together all of the Elanthian Journals (They are on Krakii under Lists of Newsletters) and scoured every nook and cranny I could that in recent weeks I've managed to piece together a comprehensive story that tells the story of the Council of Light, the Grand Assassin Lacheis, and the division of power that lead to the opening of the Solhaven and Ta'Vaalor Headquarters.

If you have more information, even if from memory, I would be interested in hearing from you. The so called King Barnom Slim threatens the landing offering undeath to those who will serve him to avoid the shadow at the edge of the world. He claims undeath leaves no flesh and blood for the shadow to feed off of. Many have come from all corners of Elanthia to heed his call, from east of the Spine, from the frigid cold of the north, and the temperate south. Followers of Luukos and worse. His call has resonated with the worst of this world.

Now heed our call! All of Phoenix is needed to combat this spreading evil. Be it the Liches new curse, the shadows of the Arcane Eye, the rooks who threaten our towns merchants, or the Unlife itself. Make no mistake, the demonic powers we have faced since Grishom Stone manipulated his way to power here is the truest signs of evil since our founding and what is happening now is the portent of a possible greater darkness. Could it be Elithian Cross or the demonic shadow himself. Prepare yourselves!

We must light the flames of the Phoenix to combat this threat. Be it through information, education of the people, knowledge of the coming threat, prayer and faith, or combat. Each and every one of us is needed in this struggle. Phoenix has long stood for Wehnimers or those fighting for justice and righteousness.

Unite with your brethren who have already joined in the fight and help those who have fallen under the sway of deception to throw off the shackles of their thralldom!
