Eoantos, Day 3, in the year 5099

[House Phoenix, Library]
The library of the House is a largish room, with the walls completely hidden by bookcases. A wide selection of reading material can be seen from a cursory glance at the shelves. Treatises on science and history stand next to ancient volumes on forest lore and magic. One rather extensive section seems devoted to arms and armor and the many subjects dealing with the arts of war. Locked glass-fronted cabinets hold rare tomes and fragile scrolls and even the odd clay tablet. You also see a spiral staircase, a carved red sandstone pedestal with an ancient volume on it, a trash barrel and a plain wooden table with a gold-trimmed modwir plaque on it.
Also in the room: (Lady Evialla who is scribing), Lady Chazmyn, Jeditn, Lord Shirkon, Graffy, Barquentine, Lord Nickoalus, Lady Cassundera, Hyssopp, Ceolmhor, Kissendyl, Lady Kymberly, Italo, Nillo, Temetran, Lord Tikae and Lord Waldo2, all of whom are seated.

Hyssopp says,"Okay..we shall start. My name is Hyssopp and I am secretary of this most noble house. Lord Waldo2 is our chair. Our meetings are rather informal. The primary purpose is to update members on past months activiies, and to allow members just to get to voice some to the officers"

Shirkon says, "Make dat Chairman, he woulds be lumpy fer a chair"

Hyssopp giggles as Ceolmhor chuckles and Barquentine smirks.

Hyssopp says,"Other houses do things differently..but for now..this works for us. We still manage to get things done, And our meetings are never boring. This past month was fairly quiet for our house. Lord Germinal is setting up the hunts again for our house . Lord Shirkon and Vicki are planning to help with leading hunts. All of you are most welcome to help Germinal in this endevour"

Shirkon nods.

Chazmyn applauds and Ceolmhor beams!

Jeditn exclaims, "ye gona let shirkon lead? hes part ranger! Probally gona schedual a trip to arch wights and end em up in vranur or something"

Graffy says, "Nay, my dad knows his way abouts."

Shirkon says, "Aye, 15-19 year olds"

Ceolmhor says, "I'll be leading the very young."

Hyssopp says,"All of you in here are potential members for Evialla's group. The main qualifications is ye cared enough about the house to come tonight. This past Rest Day..was Spirit Day. Soyvn organized a land wide trick-o-treat night. At least 14 houses participated"

(Evialla glances around rubbing her hands together)

Ceolmhor nods and says, "By the way, excellent job on our haunted house, Evialla.", as she hugs you.

You smile and say, "thank ye"

Hyssopp says,"Phoenix handed out icky green ghoul cookies, marzipan witches fingers and a dancing wraith figurines. I did help a couple of ghost to get married. If ye like me to tell the tale about that later I will. Was a very busy weekend for the lands. The Gods have promised us they are working on our renovations for the house, but I will believe it..when I see it, but I will keep going to those inter-house meetings and keep on bugging them for us."

Ceolmhor beams!

Jeditn nods to Hyssopp and says, "agreed"

(Temetran looks down and bites his lower lip thoughtfully)

Hyssopp says,"Geijon and Sylvine I guess have ironed out something for making changes in how we intiate new members, but havnt heard more from this on that as for now/ I will let Lady Evialla have the floor, she is kindly taking the notes tonight, and she is Phoenix secret weapon"

You clear your throat, stand back up and smile.

Hyssopp beams happily at you!

Ceolmhor chuckles and scoots over in front of you, as Tikaen grins.

You say,"Very good to see so many of you here with us this evening. We applaud you for that, for it shows your care and interest in our fine House. I would like to thank each and every one who contributes to its prosperity and nobility, in any ways you are able, and to encourage all to continue to do so. If ever you are in doubt as to how..we have plenty of ways"

You applaud as you grin and gaze in wonder at your surroundings.

Hyssopp applauds and nods to you.

Ceolmhor smiles at you as Waldo2 and Kissendyl applaud.

You say,"I would like to make a mention of our House web, for any unaware of how to climb into it, and that is at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Chamber/1734/ always under construction" [Wayback machine still works to pull this]

You say, “Also, we have running at this time two contests, those being the Trick or Treats hunt, and the Fine Arts. The Trick or Treat ends in 2 days, so you still have time if you wish to dig in there, and the Fine Arts until November 20. Our House web Haunted House will be dismantled in about 3 days, so visit before it vanishes into the mist if you dare"

You rub your chin thoughtfully.

Barquentine asks, "Details on the web?"

You say,"Yes, details on the web, or if you have any questions I can answer ye"

You ask, “Any questions?"

You smile.

Jeditn nods to you.

You nod to Jeditn.

Jeditn says, "Why kent dey make claids outa da magical metals", as he whistles tunelessly to himself.

Ceolmhor just tickled Jeditn.

Jeditn says, "well ya said ANY."

Kymberly giggles.

You rub your chin thoughtfully and reply, "Humm, think tis they be so large and magicks are so compact er something", as you chuckle.

Shirkon says, "Cause o' da amount of metal in em. Would be real real expensive for say a vultite claid"

You grin and say, "jah what Shirkon said"

Jeditn chuckles.

You say,"Please do contact Germinal if you can help him with hunts in any way. I think thats it unless I have forgotten something"

You wink.

Hyssopp asks, "What did everyone think of Phoenix House sights haunted house?"

Ceolmhor beams and exclaims, "I loved it!", as she applauds and says, "Excellent work."

Italo nods to Ceolmhor.

Tikaen nods as he smiles and says, "was well put together"

Hyssopp nods to Tikaen.

Cassundera says, "Aye. Is wonderful."

Kymberly says, "Real spooky, though I nay had a chance to

Nickoalus says, "I just want to know who put the spider webs in my locker", as he ducks his head.

Tikaen chuckles as Hyssopp giggles and you grin, while Waldo2 begins chuckling at Nickoalus.

Tikaen grins as he ducks his head and says, "means ya need to dust", as he whistles tunelessly to himself.

Hyssopp says, "Okay..there are about 18 of us in the room. I am gonna call on each of you. I want you in 10 words or less, Give us an opinion about the house or and idea you like to see for it..or a question"

Hyssopp says, "Okay..Kymberly..you are first"

Chazmyn fidgets as Kissendyl wrings her hands.

Kymberly asks, "Eeek! Me?", as her face turns slightly pale.

Ceolmhor shudders as she asks, "10 words or less? Even for bardesses?"

Hyssopp says, "Anything off the top of yer head. Aye..keep it brief. This is imput time"

Ceolmhor cowers as Kissendyl pokes her in the ribs and Ceolmhor giggles.

Kymberly asks, "Um, couldya get back to be?"

Nillo asks, " what ever happened to news that was going to be sent over on pinnet ?"

Hyssopp says, "Aye..just send something to Evialla and I. Italo yer next"

Italo says, "Hmmmm.", and asks, "Well, how well are the house hunts being organised?"

Shirkon raises his hand and Hyssopp nods to Shirkon as he says, "I can answer dat briefly"

Italo nods to Shirkon.

Shirkon says, "Hunts are being done by age as before. Different age groups are on different days to different areas appropriate fer dat age. Like my 15-19 age group is goin ta archies and critters in dat age bracket"

Hyssopp asks, "So..will it be listed on our web page..the hunt times and leaders?"

You nod to Hyssopp and reply, "yes, as soon as Germinal has them all arranged"

Shirkon says, "Aye, Germinal is getting all da hunt leaders lined up then will post it"

Kissendyl leans back.

Chazmyn just kissed Kissendyl.

Chazmyn exclaims, "ack!"

Ceolmhor's jaw drops.

Chazmyn babbles something unintelligible and blushes a nice shade of off-pink, then you notice Chazmyn slip into a hiding place and you hear the voice of Chazmyn say, "verra verra sories"

You hear the sound of incoherent gibbering coming from somewhere.

Chazmyn hangs her head as Tikaen rubs her gently.

Jeditn chuckles as Chazmyn shakes her head and Ceolmhor giggles, while Chazmyn smiles softly.

Italo says, "In these lands, you would expect someone named Kissendyl to get a lot of kisses...", as he whistles tunelessly to himself.

Hyssopp says, "Thankye Shirkon" and asks, "Did that answer it well?"

Shirkon says, "Welkers"

Italo rubs his chin thoughtfully and asks, "When a hunt results in gaining silvers and gems, does the House still get all the silvers?"

Hyssopp asks, "Okay..Cassundera..dear sister..any comments or questions?"

Italo ducks his head.

Hyssopp says, "Hmmm..I dont know Italo."

Cassundera says, "I would like to hear more history. Our house has a big history and more should get a taste of it."

Kymberly nods to Cassundera.

Hyssopp says, "I am thinking on planning a nice debate between Truekillir and Blades. A civilized one "

Cassundera giggles as Shirkon chuckles, while Jeditn asks, "somewhere santed where they cant kill each other?"

Barquentine asks, "That possibles?"

Nillo looks over at Barquentine and shakes his head.

Italo asks, "By civilized discussion, you mean no weapons?"

Shirkon asks, "Civilized wid Blades involved?"

Nickoalus says, "she didnt say it would be a civil debabte"

Kymberly snickers.

Tikaen says, "and them binded", as he whistles tunelessly to himself.

Hyssopp says, "Concerning Lominstra's and Luukos fight over wicked souls. I can manage anything I want to folks. You just watch me."

Ceolmhor grins and beams happily at Hyssopp!

Cassundera says, "I believe that", while Barquentine beams happily at Hyssopp!

Hyssopp says, "So..that is the works I have in my noggin now. See if we can do that at a near future meeting, talk about our house history"

Hyssopp asks, "Lord Nickoalus?"

Nickoalus says, "Okee um Im proud of all the achievements that this house has gotten just maybe they should be displayed in entry, that way they are visible for all to see upon entering"

Hyssopp asks, "Aye? What could we post?"

Nickoalus says, "like the case we have right here maybe it could be move to the entryway"

Tikaen shrugs and says, "how long the house has been in existance, current house officers, etc, what we stand for. But would stand out, lets people know without having to join and might get some reaction"

Hyssopp says, "Hmm..that would take an act of the Gods, but we have put in for a special plaque. Maybe we could put it in the entryway"

Jeditn says, "wish the plaque said what year we earned it"

Nickoalus says, "I was actually thinking of the volume on the pedestal in this room, but I realize that an act of the gods would be required"

Kymberly glances at something on top of a carved red sandstone pedestal and says, "Hmmm... think the volume belongs in a library"

Italo says, "The volume's too ancient to leave outside to the elements."

Waldo2 says, "volume does belong here, also remember that in general there can't be too many things in one place. One of the things to consider is that the cycle time to get things done is very long, the current changes to the house have been submitted for over 2 years, and we have not yet seen even the simplest of them, a list of accomplishments will sit long between updates"

Hyssopp says, "Good suggestion though Nick"

Hyssopp asks, "Okay Lady Chazym?"

Chazmyn says, "I'm still in shock from me misbehavior.. me sorries", as she blushes a nice shade of off-pink.

Hyssopp asks, "Want us to move on then hon?"

Chazmyn says, "aye please...", as she smiles at Hyssopp.

Chazmyn asks, "other than obvious reasons.. does anyone know why it takes so long?"

Waldo2 says, "the time is not my desire just the reality i have seen"

Hyssopp says, "Over worked Gods."

Waldo2 says, "qc seems to be a big backup for many changes"

Chazmyn says, "hmm"

Hyssopp points up and says, "Too many irons in the forges up there"

Jeditn says, "underpaid actualy hyssopp, and there so tied up in red tape its sick"

Chazmyn asks, "why they nae get more people to help then? Nae like a lot of us wouldnae be willin to help"

Jeditn says, "actualy thats entirely true hyssopp they arnt paid enough and theyve got to many meddlers"

Hyssopp says, "Cause it cost silver"

Italo says, "They'ld have to spend silvers then, chazmyn. Gods forbid they spend silvers to make silvers."

Chazmyn says, "two words.. Gemstone Platinum", as she grumbles. "They should have da silver to do it..."

Tikaen grumbles and shakes his head as he says, "that was a waste of an idea"

Hyssopp asks, "Anyone else real quick? We need to end the meeting. I am sorry if we nae got ot ye"

Jeditn says, "passage to and from voln, warguild, undead spot all towns, and hell here goes hardly ever see anyone in here, awake or not, dats all ive gota say"

Ceolmhor says, "I would like to see more social events .. this house is wonderful, but always so quiet."

Chazmyn drools and says, "dances"

Jeditn says, "thats what i said ceolmhor"

Barquentine nods to Chazmyn.

Hyssopp says, "For those list..please contact Lady Evialla..we shall post them on the house lonely hearts web sight"

Chazmyn exclaims, "more social events!"

Kymberly says, "Oooh that's a good idea, just things to meet yer housemates"

Ceolmhor says, "And what I'd really really like to see ..."

Chazmyn asks, "who handles the social side of things for this house?"

(Evialla is writing and sorting scrolls as fast as possible)

Hyssopp says, "Well meeting adjorned until the first Wednesday in December..same time"
