(50,000-20,000 years ago)

Then came the rise of the elven nations. Under the Arkati's assistance each race learned and grew into its own, but none as great as the elven empire.

Although the elven nations were unparralled now or then it is the follies of the seven noble lines of the Elves that later defined them and the chaos that ensued from those mistakes.

It is well known that the elven Houses of Ta'Faendryl, Ta'Vaalor, Ta'Nalfein, Ta'Ardenai, Ta'Ashrim, Ta'Loenthra and Ta'Illistim for centuries ruled over much of Elanthia. To quote on of the wisest among them at the time..

"The lesser races live in savagery. It is only with the guidance of our own eternal empire that they shall ever rise from barbarism to enjoy the benefits of civilization. Incapable of ruling themselves, they are rightfully grateful for our benevolence and aid."

-Yshryth Faendryl, XIV,
Patriarch, House Faendryl

Their superiority was never in question nor were the great gifts they bestowed upon the lands, but this arrogance would ultimatly lead to their downfall, as an all powerful empire, and many others suffering.

The great elven cities were mostly located in the east, but their wide spreading arms encompassed power bases all throughout the realms. Reaching westward beyond the DragonSpire Mountains and even to the borders of what is now Wehnimers Landing, but in that time its unlikely it even existed.

During that time only the mountain dwarves of the ancient kingdom of Kalaza within and around the Dragonspire Mountains had even an inkling of the power that the elves held at that time. The elves widly believed the dwarves to be great smiths and respected them, but they had no particular love for each other except for in the partnership of expansion and it wasnt uncommon for skirmishes to break out when an exchange for silvers went bad, but these pety arguments and battles were nothing for what was to come.
