The scrolls herein contain not only the history of Elanthia as passed down through the ages, but the place the great House of the Rising Phoenix has held throughout that history.

Our goals are to prevent the furtherance of the powers of the Unlife. The Unlife created many horrors and one of those is the creation of Undead. This is a bond we closely share with the Order of Voln. While Voln looks to destroy the undead we view the Unlife as the demonic aspect of the curse befalling them and target the source of their creation. Lest it be said though, we are entwined in numerous ways.

A House member swears not to assist those of the Council of Light in procuring hides, skins, or items that the Council requires in order to advance in power and give strength to their "Dark Masters" and the Unlife. This also means members cannot be part of or affiliated with the Council of Light or similar groups who draw power and believe in the concepts expounded by them or are in service of any similar entities.

Members are encouraged to enlighten and guide known servants of the Unlife with the teachings of the Loremasters and the Lords of Liabo upon which the House of the Rising Phoenix was originally founded. We are aware members still often remain close to some potentially cursed souls. Be it their brothers, sisters, or even spouses of those who have been seduced by the unlife. It is always our hope that they will be lead back to light and redeemed, but the temptations and wickedness of the Council is great. Knowledge is the greatest weapon, those who are shown the true guisage of the Unlife are in for a startling awakening.
